WingSwept began in 1995 when company founder and President Jay Strickland built a small technology consulting business while attending North Carolina State University. After graduating NC State in December 1997, Jay began his service with the U.S. Air Force in February 1998. With a growing list of clients and a team of consultants on board, Jay honorably separated from the Air Force in February 2002 to lead WingSwept full-time. One month later, Jay used his extensive military experience and reputation to begin work with the U.S. Intelligence Community on various projects dealing with national security issues.
